Chef and restauranteur Bobby Chinn kicks off his journey on the tropical island of Penang with a unique drink interestingly named "Michael Jackson" which is a mix of soya bean milk and grass jelly. Locals here love nutmeg so Bobby uses it to make a light Chinese salad called Carabu.
After lunch, Bobby learns how to make a popular Green Bean Cookie before heading to the coast to get fish for dinner. Together with local chef Jenny, he cooks the inimitable Penang Laksa, which is a local Peranakan creation.
Late into the night, Bobby also meets up with Joanne Khor, a local food expert and toghether they experiment with some particularly strange dishes.
Before he his stay in Penang, Bobby learns how to make a classic breakfast dish called Prata.
