Pilot Productions, the award-winning UK based producer of travel and adventure programming unveils its two latest productions at this year's MIPCOM.
World Café Asia Series 2 (8 x 26') and Bobby Chinn Cooks Asia (5 x 26') are both co-produced with Discovery International, and follow from the unprecedented success of World Café Asia Series 1 which won Best Broadcast Singapore Travel Story at the 22nd Singapore Tourism Awards and Best Entertainment Presenter Award at the Asian Television Awards.
World Café Asia uncovers the true taste of the region, unleashing its culinary delights whilst stopping off at the latest hot spots, the quirkiest street stalls and the spiciest markets. Destinations in this series include Malacca, Jakarta, Manila, Cheng Du, Calcutta, Chennai and Sri Lanka.
The new food series, Bobby Chinn Cooks Asia, sees the multi-talented and cheeky chef, Bobby Chinn returning to our screens to further explore the flavours, colours and heritage of Asian cuisine. Using Singapore and Malaysia as his backdrop, Bobby demonstrates the different approaches of Asian food cultures to a variety of culinary themes such as hot, salads, spicy, deserts and vegetarian.
"Asia is a melting pot for good food and new cuisine and these two new shows are a reflection of this. With Bobby and a great production team on board, I am excited at delivering to our broadcasters the best in travel and lifestyle programming." Quoted Executive Producer, Ian Cross. |
