Pilot Productions begins preparations to film Series 10 of the popular series Pilot Guides, which broadcasts in the USA under the name Globe Trekker on the Public Television network. The new series aims to update
classic episodes and provide new locations and countries, some will
be highly 'off the beaten track', to complement Pilot's production canon
of over 200 hours of 'evergreen' travel broadcasting.

AUGUST 2003
Pilot Productions start a co-production with the
OLN in Canada, an exciting new studio based series featuring Globe
Trekker presenter and traveller Ian Wright.
Ian Wright Live will involve both a live studio audience as well as interaction
and video from fans plus clips from the extensive Globe Trekker
archive. The series is being produced by former Lonely Planet producer
Angela Gourley.
MAY 2003
Pilot have establish a new production office in Singapore. Led
by producer/editor Melvyn Goh - the new office aims to develop both filming and broadcasting
opportunities in South East Asia.
APRIL 2003
Pilot Productions are listed as one of the Top 20 Independent Television Producers in the UK, as compiled by Broadcast Magazine. This
is, in part, in recognition of Pilot's extensive catalogue of shows
spanning a full decade and running in excess of 100 hours of 'evergreen'
travel, food and documentary production.
MARCH 2003
The Pilot Guides website is awarded a Golden Web Award
from the International Association of Webmasters and Designers.
The award and is presented to those sites whose web design, originality
and content have achieved levels of excellence deserving of recognition. |
