If you really want somewhere close to the centre of the city
and are a lover of all things kitsch, stay at the Altstadthotel
Wolf-Dietrich. This hotel has taken the Mozart madness one
step further. The Magic Flute Suite speaks for itself
- it's totally decorated in the theme of Mozart's opera and
has remote control curtains, a free-standing bath on a raised
platform (complete with fibre optic lighting) and a DVD projector!
Alternatively you can try the Papageno (Parrot) Suite which
comes with trees (and yes, a plastic parrot) over hanging
the bathtub and a bed that has a flashing headboard. Prices
start at EUR164 for either suite.

but for the kind of hospitality that the Kronegger family
offer, its well worth it. Free Internet, a fantastic restaurant
and mini bar drinks at EUR1 each are just some good reasons
to stay here. Other touches such as the personalised 'good
night poems' that you'll find on your pillow at bedtime make
this a uniquely charming place. Prices start at EUR98 for
a double room.
