Old Jaffa
If you're truly on a tight budget then try the old Jaffa
Hostel in Jaffa where you can stay for only twelve dollars
a night, or five if you're willing to sleep on the roof. Casual
labour is easy to find here, so most Europeans you meet in
places like this are waitressing or working on building sites.
Jerusalem
If cheap accommodation is what you're looking for, you can't
get much cheaper than a dormitory at the Black Horse.
You can stay in a stable not only because its cheap, it is
the most authentic experience in the Holy Land when the Inn
is full. It's only 15 sheqels a night to stay here in this
stable which is about £3 or $5. You need lots of extra
blankets because you are in a stable and it's a little bit
chilly, but you don't have to pay extra for them.
