Where's It At
Georgia is a tiny country the size of Ireland. Tbilisi is
a sprawling metropolis with a population of one and a half
million. There's no tourist information and not many people
speak English so it's not a very populated location for tourists.
Close to Tbilisi's main railway stations is a bustling daily
food market selling a vast array of local produce.
Shoppers Paradise
The local specialism include cheese, walnuts, wines, herbs
and katchapuri. Old Gerogians sits for hours drinking tea
and watching passers by in old cafes by the front of the market.
In the roadside stalls, chocolate, drinks and Turkish beer
is consumed in abundance. As recent as five years ago, resouces
were limited in Georgia and even bread was a luxury, but now
food and home grown produce is prospering and the Georgian's
are proud of the homegrown produce sold in local markets.
