Our Travel Path
We start our journey in the northern city of Tangiers
travelling down to the small market town of Chaouen.
From here, its on to the old imperial city of Fez
before heading to the village of Tamtachoute in the
High Atlas Mountains. By motorbike we travel through
the harsh and desolate Dades Valley to the town of
Zagora. Then it's onwards to the bustle of Marrakech
before a final stop at the relaxing coastal town of Essaouira.

On the Road
The main towns of Morocco are connected by a pretty reliable
bus and train service. In the larger cities and towns, collective
taxis are also a good way to get around. Many travellers choose
to hitchhike and it is generally considered quite safe, and
an excellent way to meet the locals, but women who travel
alone would be advised to pair up with a fellow travel for
extra safety. Up in the mountainous areas, where the roads
are sometimes little more than dirt tracks, the best way to
get around is to (for a small fee) jump on the back of the
market day lorries. What it lacks in comfort, it makes up
for in fun. Be aware also of Islamic holidays as these can
greatly reduce public transport, followed the next day by
a massive surge of people wanting to travel.
