Chile is a unique and diverse land to visit,
with South America's largest European community as
well as a surviving indigenous tradition in the Andes.
It's capital city, Santiago, is budding with
arts and culture. Chile is also a mecca for extreme
sport seekers, said to be the only place in the world
where you can snow-board and surf in the same day.
Amazingly, the country is also home to one of the
driest deserts in the world, dense rainforests and
spectacular volcanic terrain. The Andes mountain
range runs the length of the country and provides
some of the best trekking and wildlife in the world.
Add the warm and welcoming character of the Chilean
people and Chile makes an ideal travel palate for
all interests.
The Easter Islands are the most remote inhabited
islands in the world, and famed for its Moai stone
sculptures, hewn out of rock by a mysterious lost
civilisation.
