Pilot productions serves up another delight as globe trekker returns to turkey.

Pilot Productions, the award-winning UK based producer of travel and adventure programming today announces a return to one of the world’s most magical lands: Turkey. In its second show from the land which straddles East and West both geographically and culturally, Globe Trekker shows that there’s more than meets the eye in this vast and ever changing land in Globe Trekker Turkey 2.

Turkey 2 (1 x 52’) is presented by Adela Ucar as part of Globe Trekker Series 14 and shot in glorious high definition to capture the distinct detail and beauty of Turkey’s vast landscapes and cities. Journeying from the historical town of Konya, Adela explores the ancient mosques and myriad markets where Muslim pilgrims mingle with secular citizens. The journey continues along the coastline of the Aegean Sea on to Aduna, Turkey’s 4th largest city and home to the largest mosque between Istanbul and Saudi Arabia (the Sabancı Mosque). Journeying onwards and off-the-beaten-track, Adela visits the historic south eastern region of Anatolia. With its jagged mountain peaks, sun-kissed plains, extinct volcanoes, immense lakes, and historic cities – it’s a region filled with exoticism and adventure. Along the way, Adela visits Gaziantep with its buzzing café culture and melting pot of cultural design, and afterwards travels on to Diyarbakrwith its mighty basalt city walls, narrow winding alleyways and an epicentre of Kurdish culture.

Turkey 2 compliments the highly popular Globe Trekker shows: Turkey and Istanbul City Guide and provides an even further insight into the vast land of Turkey and all it has to offer the traveller looking for a more adventurous experience away from the tourist resorts of the Mediterranean and into the heart of Turkish culture.

Turkey 2 features amongst the very best of Globe Trekker shows, and part of a 14th series lineup which travels to lands as far and diverse as the AntarcticNigeriaSyria, Ukraine & BelarusTibetThe South AtlanticPapua New Guinea Islands, the Holy Lands of Israel,The West Bank and Jerusalem, whilst World War II Pacific provides an educational focus on the pacific region during its most turbulent times in recent history.
