London:  August 4th 2014– Pilot Productions the award winning, UK based producer of world renowned travel and adventure programming has launched its first Globe Trekker subscription channel, GlobeTrekker.TV on the leading video on demand streaming platform Roku.

Available with immediate effect, GlobeTrekker.TV enables subscribers to have instant access to view a selection of Globe Trekker episodes for a subscription fee of $3.99 per month. The Roku channel joins other pay per view channels such as YouTube, Vimeo and Amazon Instant Video that Pilot Productions has launched for Globe Trekker.

“Going forward we will be offering other programming and events on GlobeTrekker.TV to ensure our many fans get added value and can view our programming when and where they like,” said Ian Cross Managing Director of Pilot Productions.  “We will also be looking at worldwide premieres of new episodes on GlobeTrekker.TV.

Globe Trekker is one of the world’s longest running travel series that transports viewers to unforgettable destinations around the world. Each episode documents the journeys of young vibrant travel guides as they sample local delicacies, stay in traditional lodgings and interact with locals in ways that bring these exotic destinations to life.  With more than 250 episodes produced to date, the award winning series celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2012.

Pilot Productions is also pleased to announce that TravelDreamer.TV part of Island Dreamer Enterprises, will be managing the Globe Trekker channel for the Company. TravelDreamer.TV runs an ad funded free channel on Roku supported by a variety of travel content including some short form provided by Pilot Productions.
