Constructed on 130 acres of jungle with rocks and crags,
featuring captivating views of Penang and the
hilltop Equatorial Hotel - and less captivating
views of local high rise apartments and factories.
Course facts
- Situated on a hilltop, the course's 10th is the signature
hole, with its tee-box high above the fairway down in
the valley.
- Vijay Singh won the 1992 Malaysian
Open here in and the course hosted the 2005 Penang
Amateur Open. The course is always heavily booked
for corporate competitions as well as some of the country's
top tournaments. |

Playing the
course
Stamina:
The course is wrapped around a large hill (Bukit) and
so has undulating contours, but it's by no means a difficult
stretch for the legs. The problem is the heat: Penang
can become very hot and humid so take plenty of water
with you.

A par 72, 18 hole course measuring 5,763 meters from
the back tees.
On the course dress code:
Long trousers or tailored long shorts (denim jeans excluded),
collared teeshirts with sleeves are acceptable dress
for men. Slacks (denim jeans excluded), dress shorts,
skirts , teeshirts with collar and sleeves are acceptable
dress for women.

A lounge and restaurant cater for breakfast, lunch and
evening meals, swim in the Olympic-sized pool, have
a game in the squash and tennis courts, surf the web
or studying local literature in the library, or golfers

the pro-shop.
