Vrede en Lust Winery
For the perfect wine tasting experience in a stunning
location visit Vrede en Lust. This is not just another
tourist attraction; the winery seeks to encourage smaller
groups of visitors, thus enhancing the intimacy of the
tasting experience. Located just 10 minutes drive from
the centre of Franshhoek, this winery offers a warm
welcome, good food and above all great wines. Do taste
their superb selection of rose wines and cheeses.
Vrede en Lust is a modern wine farm which has built
on its three century old foundation. It aspires to become
one of South Africa's best loved wineries, yet without
becoming a mass producer. The vineyard's philosophy
is based on respect for the environment and a total
commitment to quality. Their approach to winemaking
is simply to make the highest quality wines possible.
The team believes that red blends are capable of producing
wines of greater complexity, so they do not produce
single cultivar reds.
