| Globe Trekker continues its epic journey around the planet with this - its 8th season - transporting viewers to unforgettable destinations and introducing them to the local people,  their culture, and cuisine.
Globe Trekker spotlights the adventures of solo travellers as they venture off the beaten path, exploring every corner of the globe: from cosmopolitan cities, to remote tribal villages, discovering a wealth of diverse landscapes and stunning natural beauty along the way.
Highlights of the latest season on American Public Television include:
Globe Trekker Zay Harding travels to The Balkans where he visits the countries of the former Yugoslavia: Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia Herzegovina and Montenegro. Against a back-drop of rollicking gypsy music Zay discovers 4 countries rich in tradition and history, with a common desire to put the war-torn past behind them and live life to the full!
 Megan McCormick journeys to Central America to Panama where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans are linked by its famous canal. Along the way, she explores mesmerising landscapes and experiences the indigenous cultural life of the local Kuna people. Crossing into South America she travels into Colombia where she visits vibrant Bogota, explores the idyllic Caribbean coastline, and treks high up into the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in search of the Lost City of The Tayrona.
Meanwhile back at the ranch... welcome to Colorado and Utah where traveller Holly Morris discovers a land of cowboys and old mining towns, a land that time forgot, a place where people fleeing religious persecution found their promised land, and where the likes of Butch Cassiday became legends.
