Katy Haswell's on-stage life began as a classical
ballerina with the Royal Academy of Dance.
She went on to study journalism and drama in Paris before
returning to England to  study Politics and French at the University
of Birmingham.
Prior to joining Globe Trekker, Katy's very
successful news-broadcasting career took her all over the
world. She has worked in the UK for the BBC, ITN, Carlton,
ITV and Channel 4 - presenting crime and consumer programming and a weekly car magazine programme, as well as anchoring daily
news slots.
Katy has presented live TV shows during the launches
of European space rockets from the Amazon Basin, which has
given her the opportunity to explore this region of Brazil.
Katy's travels have taken her all over the world - to Peru,
Ecuador, New Zealand, Italy, Hong Kong, Thailand, Spain, Egypt,
The Canary Islands, Kenya, South Africa and the Caribbean
Islands. |
