Mexico's Copper Canyon is four
times bigger than the Grand Canyon and is home
to the mystical Tarahumara Indians.
In this Treks In A Wild World, Zay Harding
goes along with the effervescent Skip McWilliams,
exploring unknown parts of the canyon on foot,
with native Tarahumaran guides to show them the
way. With ten burros, ten Tarahumaran guides and
Maria the tortilla-makers, Zay encounters a land
and a people that haven't changed much for hundreds
of years. But Zay's biggest worry on this trip
is confronting his fear of heights.
Bradley Cooper, in part two
of Treks, is well ensconced in deepest Quebec,
discovering the traditions of the Acadian voyageur.
With a gaggle of Acadian river guides, the troupe
shows Bradley the ancient art of 'poling' and
learns more about a part of North America he didn't
know existed.
