In this Trek we see Holly Morris journeying through
East India taking in the varied landscapes and
scenery along the way. Beginning in the bustling
town of Port Blair, Holly takes
a motorbike ride through the penal colony of this
century and on to the rarely seen ancient tribal
colonies. By ferry she moves on to Havelock
to help with the logging of the hardwood trees
on elephant and then diving in some of the unexplored
waters stretching away from beautiful white sandy
beaches, rich with stunning aquatic life in some
of the most unspoilt reefs in the world. Then
through Calcutta and Dibrugath
on route to Pasighat where she
takes part in a multi cultural festival, adorned
in traditional dress. Finally on to the village
of Adi Pasi where she lives with
a tribe who show her how they fish, catch rats,
carry logs and dance before tucking in to their
delicacy of smoked rat. |
