Where: Varkala beach, south west India
When: October is a cool and secluded time to visit
Happenings: Mineral springs and a fantastic massage
Remember to bring: Aromatherapy massage oil and sun protection
If you’ve been on the road for some time, you may need to recover awhile at Varkala, on India’s south west coast.
In the south of India it’s never really cool, but pleasantly warm in winter. After the ‘cool’ season temperatures begin to rise in February and by April it’s unbearable.
– Visit the Mineral Springs
Varkala is an important Hindu pilgrim centre. The mineral springs here are said to have curative properties.
Get a Massage
The massage technique has been a closely guarded secret for thousands of years, but for many tourists it’s a welcome revival from the toils of the road.
Interesting source of information on Kerala for the would-be tourist.
