Small and clean rooms, some of them with a bath. Prices start at U$8 per person per night. Make sure you get a room over looking the beautiful market. The views are lovely here, and apparently the rooms on the other side are dark and depressing.

A lovely refurbished colonial house. Most of the rooms are big and bright and situated on the ground floor around courtyards. There are no elevators so try to book downstairs. The staffs are friendly and the breakfast is great with lots of Mexican specialities. Prices start at U$50 for a single. Well worth visiting.

Most rooms have bath and are big. The building looks like a prison but it has a lot of character.
Price starts at U$7 per person per night. The manager is very friendly and speaks a bit of English. Its near the beaches and close to La Quebrada where the famous Acapulco cliff divers.

For the real Acapulco experience this hotel is a must. All the rooms are pink and white, and so are the bed linens, the jeeps that move you around the resort and the staff’s uniform. It’s two km away from the beach but every room has its own swimming pool and an outstanding view of the bay.

There are a lots of budget hotels in Puerto Escondido. Most of them right on the Zicatelabeachfront, all of a similar quality and standard.
The cheapest places however are the campsites, or for the adventurous, you can hire ahammock on the beach (although this is more common in Zipolite beach). The weather is lovely so sleeping under the sky is no problem, but we aware of pickpockets.

Popular with surfers, most of the rooms at Arco Iris look straight into the beautiful deep blue Pacific coast. All rooms have double beds; some of them have even got a mini kitchen.
Prices start at U$30 for a double. Mosquito nets are available to avoid pesky bites. It also has a swimming pool.

About three km from town, Posada Real t has big shady gardens, pools and a private beach. All rooms have a TV and air-conditioned. Price of the rooms start at U$120 for a double.

Located in the heart of the town, this hotel has a very nice restaurant and economical prices.
Rooms are small, clean and pleasant. Prices start from U$35.

This hotel is surrounded by lush tropical rain forest. The rooms are big and airy. Howling monkeys will be your wake up call every morning abd the swimming pools are huge and fed with fresh water from a nearby stream. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere great. The rooms start at U$65. Air-conditioned but no television. You wont need it anyway!

San Miguel de allende

It’s rated as one of the top one hundred hotels in the world and is a must if you can afford a little luxury. Every room has a name and a different décor. The Talavera tiles in the bathrooms are stunning and the food magnificent. Rooms start at U$250. If you have got them money is worth a visit.
