Globe Trekker turns 15!

Pilot Productions, the award-winning UK based producer of travel and adventure programming today announces a stellar line up of shows to mark the 15th series of the world’s most watch travel show. Globe Trekker Series 15 is the latest series to be announced in the iconic travel series which has been in continual production since 1994.

With a traditional focus for destinations “off the beaten track” amongst the ever popular city guides and subject focused specials, Globe Trekker has seen unrivalled success in attracting a worldwide audience across some of the world’s leading broadcasters. With over 30 Million viewers worldwide and over 40 international awards to its name, Globe Trekker continues to inspire its audiences with its diversity of shows from the far reaches of the planet.

Globe Trekker Series 15 (13 X 52’) is shot on location in some of the world’s most exotic surroundings, and combines stunning photography with a specially composed soundtrack leaving the viewer with a unique sense of spirit and adventure. Each of the episodes transports us to unforgettable destinations around the world, documenting the journeys of intrepid guides such as Holly Morris, Adela Ucar and Zay Harding. Following their journey as they venture off to remote destinations, we encounter the inhabitants of the land, sample the cuisine, soak up the culture and revel in breath taking landscapes.

Destinations in Globe Trekker Series 15 include Papua New Guinea Islands, Puerto Rico,Austria & Switzerland, Moscow, Buenos Aires, Tibet, and specials on Space, the Spanish Inquisition, and the Indian Diaspora.
