Travel trade publication, Travel Weekly, reported this week that according to the latest Hotels.com annual Hotel Price Index, in 2014 New York overtook Paris as the most popular destination for travellers from around the northern hemisphere. It’s the first time in three years that Paris hasn’t made the top spot.
Making up the top five last year for travellers the world over, were Amsterdam, Dublin and Rome.
New into the top 20 are Majorca and Munich, knocking both Los Angeles and Singapore out of the list. London was once again the most-visited city for inbound travellers, with Edinburgh a close second.
