The Fiesta of San Miguel, Bolivia

Bolivia, in true Latino style, is renowned for its fiesta loving spirit. There seem to be fiestas for every occasion possible, from religious, historical or political events. The Fiesta occurs in a remote town in the Bolivia’s Potosi district once a year on the 29th September when the El Tinku dances to serve as a sacrificial commemoration for the local Indian earth goddess, Pachamama.
