Pilot Globe Guides – Day Trips: Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane
From Sydney we first head north to the wine region of Hunter Valley, before making our way south to Canberra, the capital of Australia, where its most popular attractions are its new Parliament House and the National Gallery. We then take a trip west of Sydney, where we visit the Blue Mountains and hike through some of its breathtaking scenery.
From Melbourne we drive along the Great Ocean Road where we stop off at the Twelve Apostles, a unique coastal rock formation. We then head on to the Grampian Mountain Range, for some hiking and rock climbing. Our journey ends at the Mornington Peninsula for a final swim with the dolphins.
With its beautiful coastal beaches, Brisbane offers a range of day trips and places to see. We head north of the city to Noosa Heads, and relax with the town’s laid back community. It’s then a drive north to the world heritage site of Fraser Island, home to one of the world’s biggest sand bars. Heading south of Brisbane we visit the Gold Coast and the commercial district of Surfer’s Paradise. We end our journey over the border in the state of New South Wales, where we visit Byron Bay once the home to an alternative lifestylers, but now a Mecca for tourists.
