Durban (also called Thekwini in Zulu) is a major coastal city in South Africa. It’s the largest city in KwaZulu-Natal province and the third-most populous city in South Africa after Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The population of the metro area is 3.8 million. The most common language is Zulu followed by English, Afrikaans and Xhosa.
