Zoe D’Amato

“The act of travel itself only guarantees one result: you will say goodbye. “

Zoe grew up on a small farm in rural Nova Scotia; camping, swimming, canoeing, gardening, reading, riding horses, and building things. She daydreamed of performing on-stage and exploring the world… and not much has changed.

Zoe writes, photographs, produces and hosts for various travel programs and publications. Long before travel was work, Zoe worked to travel. She crisscrossed the globe as an English teacher, a bartender, a librarian, a Greenpeace educator, a children’s entertainer, and more. Whilst living in NYC, Zoe signed up to be an “extra” on Law & Order. She fell madly in love with filmmaking from the moment she stepped on set. Three months later, she had earned her first leading role on factual TV and hasn’t stopped since.

With a degree in cultural anthropology and an innate small-town ability to chit chat with anyone; Zoe is a natural and engaging storyteller. She’s also a tough-as-nails, fearless explorer with boundless enthusiasm for hard work on both sides of the lens. To date, she has journeyed to almost 40 nations on five continents.
